Royco Bobotie Sauce
Bring the warmth and spice of South Africa to your dinner table with ROYCO Traditional Bobotie Cook-In Sauce. This 50g dry mix is the perfect base for preparing a classic bobotie — a savoury baked dish made with spiced minced meat and a creamy egg topping. Simply add your own mince, onion, raisins, chutney, milk, and eggs to create a hearty meal that serves four.

Preparation Instructions:
Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a pan and fry 1 chopped onion until soft.
Add 500g minced meat and brown.
Mix 50g raisins and contents of packet with 50ml water and 200ml milk. Stir into mince and add 2 Tbsp chutney.
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Transfer to a greased ovenproof dish.
Beat 3 eggs with 50ml milk and pour over the mixture.
Bake uncovered at 180°C for 30–40 minutes until the egg topping is set.
Serve with yellow rice, chutney, and salad.
